The second module of the 6th generation of the APO was organized online, due to the pandemic crisis, from 20th to 25th April. Participants from seven political parties and NGO sector attended the online seminar. This Academy aims to educate young people and prepare them for political work, promoting dialogue and moral and responsible policies.
Topics discussed include: Art as a means of socializing political culture, Gender-sensitive policies, History of B&H as a potential for peace and „Green“ urbanism challenges. Particular emphasis has been put on the importance of religion and culture in creating peace policy and strategy, in response to the rise of populism. We also talked about inspirational global political portraits of Helmut Schmidt and Anwar as-Sadat.
Through this programme, BDF wishes to contribute to the development of a new political culture, as an indispensable precondition for the effective functioning of political structures and peaceful coexistence in B&H, by educating a new, young generation of politicians from parties and organizations with different political backgrounds and ideologies, and discussing topics not so common in public discourse.
